One afternoon whilst browsing Facebook, I stumbled upon The Joe Ellis Trust asking for help from lady photographers, I sent a message to them saying I might be able to help and the rest is history so they say!

Simon and Sally Ellis had so very tragically lost their young son, Joe, back in July from cancer. The family and newly set up Trust had been frantically trying to raise money for Joes' treatment, but sadly the cancer was too advance and very sadly Joe lost his fight before the money could be raised. Although through the face of such sorrow, Simon and Sally have continued the fund raising as legacy to Joe and to help other Isle of Wight Families also facing their darkest hours.

This is where I come in! Simon had decided to try and create a 2015 Calendar based along the same idea of the Calendar Girls, with a naked, but covered scene month by month and instead of just ladies being featured, this was to be a calendar with both men and women in.  Simon had a mind full of ideas and it was for the selected photographers to put plans to life. Initially I was to shoot three months, but in the end was very honoured to have shot ten months in the finish. 

The Calendars have been beautifully published by Biltmore printers on the IOW and mine and Ztams' images have graced the year magnificently!! Now these calendars are on sale at various locations on the island but mainly and centrally at BHS in Newport. All monies raised will go to help children with cancer here on the IOW. These are in limited numbers so best not delay or you might miss out! 

Now Simon wasn't sure about doing it again for 2016, but already I feel there are a lot of people that are already stepping up to join in! As for this year, you will see an array of islanders, all the greatest of sport,s to have stripped off all in aid of the Joe Ellis Trust.
